Chung Ching

A great hole-in-the-wall Chinese place located in North College Hill. It's literally a mom and pop, with the "mom" serving and the "pop" in the kitchen. Don't expect any fine decor! The owner has an amazing memory. I only go every few months because it's a bit out of the way, but she always remembers me. They're notorious for closing down when they go on vacation, so it might pay to call ahead...

The food has a Chinese home cooked taste to it. They specialize in spicy food, but can tone it down for you. They make a variety of Chinese celery dishes, which you can't get everywhere. The Governor's Chicken is a much better, much more authentic version of the Americanized General Tso's.
